Evil Spolier!
It was so much fun making the illustrations to "The Highwayman", so when I finished ATWI8D, I HAD to make one more! The end was so romantic and beautiful, I read it several times!
I was planning on having a balloon in the back, but would you know... They DON'T use a balloon! It was only in the movies! Kind of cool, heh?
So, symbolic use of colours:
Mr. Fogg is of course in blue. That's because he was always described to have an "ice cold" look.
And since Aouda was the one to finally melt him, her sari is in warm colours. I know she changed her clothes, but this was so much prettier! It was very difficult to find out how to draw a sari. There are a lack of them here in Norway... If you need help to draw a scarf, I can help
